Makua lani e Kamehameha e
Na kaua e pale Me ka i he.

Hawaii's own true sons, be loyal to your chief
Your country's liege and lord, the Alii.1
Father above us all, Kamehameha,2
Who guarded in the war with his ihe,3


1. Alii (ah-lee-ee) sovereign
2. Kamehameha (Kah-may'-ha-may'-ha) king who first unified the islands.
3. Ihe (ee-hay) spear



Sugar Bowlで負けたけど、州歌が、選手をあたたかく讃えただんだろうな。
ちょっと、泣ける。

短期派遣といいつつも、ものすごい仕事量と拘束時間で、
なんだか、最近、自分が自分でないみたい。

来月末まで、季節労働者のように、期間を区切って働いているけど、
割り切っているつもりでも、自分を慈しむ時間が足りないと、
気枯れしてくる。

はー。

なんて美しいの・・・。

So glad to hear from you! I do hope you have a more joy and luck in this year than last. In our life, sometime we face bad time. However if we survive and overcome, good time is coming to us.
I think when you are in bad time, you still have friends...it might be not so many.. a few friends would be fine.. they are true friends to you... I think...
When you have plenty money and good time, of course many friends come to you, gather around you and want to hang out with you... that's fine... but are they real friends?? I don't think so...

新しい年、2008年の一日め。

昨年は早かったような、でも、学ぶべきことがたくさんあって、
短かったような、長かったような・・・
ここ数年の中でも「いい意味」で濃かった一年だった。

マウイにばかり出かけて、足元がおぼつかなっかたような、
でも、マウイに行ったおかげで、
自分のこの先が見えてきたこともあったわけで。

物事はいつも、ふたつの側面があるってことを心がけ、
光があれば陰もあり、
白があれば黒もあり、
良いこともあれば悪いこともあり、
前進もあれば後退もあり、
笑いもあれば怒りもあり、
楽しみもあれば哀しみもあり、
得ることもあれば失うこともある。
